Membership

Founded in 1986 as the Texas Mini Storage Association, TSSA is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to provide opportunities for all self-storage owners to share, learn and improve both their businesses and the self storage industry.

Today, the TSSA membership rolls have grown to more than 2,600. As the Association grows, it continues to provide individualized service, education and fellowship with the same dedication and determination that sparked the 10 facility owners and founders in 1986.

Annual Membership Dues

TSSA memberships are billed annually, based on your join date. All members pay a full year's dues when joining. Your next billing will occur just before your anniversary- your initial notice will be sent via e-mail. Please read the following categories to determine your membership type and dues.

Owner (or Management Company) Member

The owner category is for those who own (or manage) at least one self-storage facility in Texas. Dues are based on the number of facilities owned, and the TSSA bylaws require payment of dues for all facilities owned or managed by the member. Each member receives one Goldbook©, one magazine subscription and one plaque per facility when dues are paid.

Owner Member dues, payable annually:
$195 for the main membership, which includes one facility.
$120 for each additional facility owned or managed.
Maximum dues cap: $2,200.

Owner/Operator Membership Application

Vendor/Supplier Member

This category is for companies or individuals that provide goods or services for the self-storage industry. Vendor members receive up to three free category listings for the online Buyers Guide. They are also entitled to significant discounts on TSSA advertising rates and trade show booths. Only TSSA members may rent the full or partial member mailing list for a minimal charge.

Vendor Member dues, payable annually: $215

Vendor/Supplier Membership Application

Please complete this application ONLY if you sell goods or services to the self-storage industry, and do not own a self-storage facility in Texas.

Developer Member

A special category for those who do not fit the other category definitions, but who have an interest in the Texas self-storage industry, the Developer membership category is typically for those who are developing or building a facility in Texas. Joining TSSA during the development phase provides a definite advantage.

Developer Member annual dues, payable annually: $195
